I am super excited to announce some big changes to the shop! I am doing a lot more embroidery pieces these days, probably because it is easier for el prego here to do while sitting on the comfy couch! LOL! I am currently very inspired by old tattoo flash images and have created these romantic rocker wall art pieces! I am also carrying buttons for all your crafting needs! More items to be released soon

So I am taking this super duper online class that I found over on Freckled Nest a while back and I am LOVING it! I have learned so much! Here are some pictures of things I have made so far, click on them to view full size.
In other news I am hoping to take a silk screening class but it is full right now and I am on the waitlist, number one on the list though! Fingers crossed! I am also looking into a pattern drafting class as I am loving sewing so much that I would love to be able to better understand patterns, they are kind of still all gibberish to me. Was a huge success! I had a lot of fun, met amazing people, sold lots and learned more! But the best part of all was seeing how excited kids got over my stuffies. These three sisters fell in love with my Bam-Bambi's and each went home with one. I was too busy to take many photos, but here are a few. More will follow from the Lynn Valley Craft Fair....August 21/22 B THERE!

That's right kittens, I will be participating in my very first ever craft fair this sunday! And this one is super duper special because its not just a craft fair, its UNDER THE VOLCANO! A social justice festival that happens every year in Cates Park. Sadly this is the last year it will run and I am so honored to be a part of it! UTV always has amazing music from around the world, yummy ethic foods, speakers on important social and environmental justice issues and a KICK ASS artisan market! WITH ME! YAY! Come by and check out my plushies and brooch's made from EcoFelt, vintage button rings, paintings and more! I AM SO EXCITED!

Just one tune for today, but its a great one that will make you wanna dance! LOVES!

In other news, yesterday was my hubby and I's 2 year wedding anniversary! We celebrated with a picnic in the park, some bubbly and handmade gifts for each other. I made a scrap book of our lives leading up to, around and shortly after our wedding. Ryan designed a shadow box for me with our wedding vows inside! He even used our wedding stationary and put my garter inside....SO CUTE! The most thoughtful gift I have ever received!

In terms of crafty stuff I have a jury review tomorrow for the North Vancouver Community Arts Council to see if I am crafty enough to participate in the Lynn Valley Craft Fair! WISH ME LUCK! I am super nervous!!!!! Ryan insists I will be fine, but I am still a newbie and just hope my work is good enough. I am bring examples of my cameo pins, my felt stuffies, and a couple paintings.

I have been busy making Flapper inspired headbands....all the girls attending my Dirty 1930's 30th Bday Bash will be getting one at the door! What do you think?
